Coronavirus are large viruses that cause illnesses from cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-COV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-COV).
Covid-19
But my concern is the new epidemic that began in December 2019 called nCOV meaning novel coronavirus which has been a global concern too. This novel emerged in Wuhan, China. It comes from the same family as MERS and SARS. When it began the doctors thought it was pneumonia but it is persistent and its transmission spread too fast compared to the symptoms of pneumonia and it’s transmission, so it has become a great point of concern to individuals in China and other parts of the world . It has spread to all the 41 provinces of China end other countries including Italy and the Iran have shown high cases of Covid-19.
How does it spread?
Corona virus is spread when human beings are in contact with live animals it is similar to a virus carried by a bat and it can be transmitted through different ways: contacts with certain bodily fluids, such as droplets in cough. Touching something an infected person has touched and then touching your hand to your mouth nose or eye.
Symptoms of Covid-19
It begins just like a simple cough, fever and shortness of breath.
Precautions in Coronavirus
Hand washing thoroughly with soap and water, covering mouth nose while sneezing and coughing, thoroughly cooking meat and eggs or minimum intake of them, avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illnesses such as coughing since it can also spread during the incubation period of 2 to 14 days.
Even with the cases of quarantine China still could not contain Coronavirus so it spread to other parts of Asia including South Korea Japan and even Italy and Iran. This cause of global alarm has hard implications on the on the world economy also affecting the USA because they acquire most more of their pharmaceutical equipments and produce them in China and the lockdown has reduced the production. This coronavirus will bring more drastic changes and implications on social economic and political development of the world. It’s vaccine is yet to be found so it’s good to take preventive measures.
